Our firm is proud to announce that Carolyn Allen has been selected to receive the 2017 Clarence Darrow Prodigy Award from the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The Clarence Darrow Prodigy Award, is presented to a member of KACDL who has been practicing law for less than 5 years and has demonstrated precocious legal knowledge and criminal defense advocacy skills, as well as an uncompromising commitment to aggressively defending clients in the spirit and best tradition of Mr. Darrow. Dan Goyette, the chair of the awards committee noted that Carolyn was selected for “[i]n particular, your many contributions to the realization of the purpose and intent of HB 40 and your tireless efforts in implementing it statewide since August of 2016 were notable and exceptional and merit recognition. Your passion for and commitment to justice have made a difference in the lives of many who would otherwise be ignored, forgotten and left to fend for themselves.”
The award will be presented during the Association’s 31st Annual Criminal Defense Law Seminar and Conference at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at The Galt House Hotel. The Awards Luncheon will take place in the Rivue Restaurant on the 25th floor of the Rivue Tower (Galt House West).
